Who Am I
I am a 57 year old Native American man who has traveled many roads in my life time. I believe we live many lives in one lifetime and that in my case it is very true.
I have been in the Marine Corp, rode in professional rodeos for two years, was a professional rodeo clown, flew small planes for a living, spent several years as a police officer and deputy sheriff in West Texas. Owned a small trucking company, still am a free lance newspaper reporter, was a newspaper editor, built a successful Internet business, work as a artist in resident at schools and owned two restaurants that made money among many other things. As we would say I have been there and done that
At the age of 49 I decided to go back to college. At the age of 53 I graduated with a degree in Creative Writing and one in Anthropology. I was fast only took me 35 years to get through college. I started when I got out of the Marine Corp and only a short 35 years later I graduated and was now edumacated.
I do not say this to brag, as if there is any thing there to brag about, but to help you understand who I am. When you understand who I am you can understand where I am going a little better.
While I was in college I started building a business on the Internet. I made some money, especially on EBay, selling things that I made myself. I even opened a Native American store here locally selling my and others peoples handmade items. During this time I started a group called Right Road Training helping people make money on the Internet. Helping people struggling to get started on the Internet.
Then the other shoe dropped. I got very sick and other things happened so that I had to walk away from the Internet and close the store. I spent the next two years trying to get back to the point where I was able to sit at a computer and do the things that I needed to.
After returning to a reservation in the Southwestern United States where I spent time telling stories and playing the flute, I got myself centered and back in balance. I came home healthy and ready to go back to work.
I really needed to go back to work since our wonderful Internal Revenue Service said I owed them almost $150,000. Yep you saw that right, six figures. That ruled out starting a conventional brick and mortar business. I didn’t have the money anymore to do that. I had to start small and build something. I had done it before and I knew I could do it again. I have been my own boss for so long I knew I would not be a good employee.
So back to work I went and in a short time had enough money coming in off the Internet to survive. Now one thing I noticed when I was on the Internet before and now is that there are a great many people wanting to build a business but they have no idea how to do it and no money to spend to build a business.
So here was the Question.
Can someone with no money start small and build a business on the Internet. I was receiving emails from Internet Gurus I had done business with on the Internet telling me that if I would use their free information I could make money on the Internet. Now don’t get me wrong I knew that the Internet Gurus were giving away free information to get me on their list so they could sell something but that is okay. As long as the free information worked and what they were selling me worked. That is good business.
I was in a position again where I could spend the time to find out, without starving to death, if you could start from scratch and build a business. I had never done it that way before. I always had enough to invest in traffic and programs to get me started before but what if someone did not have that. What about the person who has no money could they build a business on the Internet.
I ran into hundreds of them in the past and had no way to help them. No, do this and now do this step by step instruction on what worked and what didn’t.
I decided that I could spare six months of my life to find out if what they were saying is true. If I did I would not only reach my goal of starting a business but I would open a wonderful niche market. There are thousands of people out there that are getting turned away and discouraged because they don’t have $25 to invest in a program or even $9.95 a month to join a program. Little did I know that my own son would be coming to me and ask me the same question I was answering. So off I went to find out.
This was a win win situation.
I would build a business and find out how someone with no money could do the same or I would find out what the Internet Gurus were offering didn’t work. At the end of six months I and others would be building a business or I would be making a lot of Internet Gurus upset because I would be telling everyone that they lied about their products and have proof to show. Either way it would be a good thing.

Hello my name is mae and i am writing to you, as to the way you worked to start a business, i been on this since march 2008 and i have not made one penny? If this is how you start a business, what in gods name do you do. I have gotten a home course, angel@home process cost me 197.00 , bought many ebooks, i have no money i still owe for the stupid start up pages, now i started clicking, and i been o n it 4 or 5 wks and not one person signed up yet??? I have gone to the different traffic things now and i think i have aperson that signed up. I am with hits2u and gdi, and i think this is a big and wild world i am in,lol. I guess i just want to get some signed people so i can surf and earn a little money, oh i know they all want money to go pro, and as a matter of fact i pay l0 a month on one of these already, i blogged, i have rss, and i have everything i had my own website, and was with so many affliates its rediculous, nothing, then i was with clickbank, and paypal and the list goes on and on. But i am more comfortable with the click plan and hope to be able to get signed in people so i can also be busy,. i am happy to be a part of this hummingbird thing and will be around for awhile i am sure. ty mae

Hello Mae
You have tried many different things and the only thing that seemed to happen was you emptied your bank account. Don’t feel bad there are many people in the same boat.
You are on the way to building your business because you have found something you like,” the click plan”. Now you need a definite plan to develop your business from where you are right now. You have many of things you need in place, click bank, a blog, PayPal and you as you say the list goes on.
So the good news is that you have found out what does not work and you also have what you need already in place to build a business. Now it is time to start building. I know the first question is, “How in the world do I do that.” What and how is to much for a comment on the blog but if you will email me I will be glad to help you get organized so that you can begin to turn things around.
The most important thing is in the meantime do not spend any more money until you have some money coming in. Do not upgrade in the traffic exchanges until you have some money coming in. Trade your time for what you need, sign-ups and income, not your money.

Just remember if you keep doing the same things you have been doing you will keep getting the same results you have been getting. To change your results you have to change what you are doing.
